How many times must a couple have sex during the fertile period in order to conceive? 3 times ok?

My cycle is average 27 days. If my husband and I have sex only on days 10, 12, 14 of my period, are we maximising our chances? I read somewhere that doing it everyday reduces sperm count. If your husband has a normal sperm count then you'd be safe to have sex everyday which would maximize your chances even more. Every other day is still fine too. Since it really only takes one sperm your chances are good either way. I would prefer to have sex everyday just to make sure I had the best chances. there is nothing certain... counting from the first day of ur menstrual cycle, the 12th to 15 th are the most fertile days... when a sperm is released from a healthy male, it remains active for about 24 hrs... doing it every day wont reduce chances... for the sperm, from its birth to reaching the seminal vesicle, it takes about 90 days, and the every day sperms are produced... According to TCYOF, what I gathered was that as long as your partners count is normal, you should BD every day from the first day of EWCM to the last day of it, if you don't know the count, do it each day just in case.....If the count is low or if it may be, or if you haven't gotten pg within four months of doing it every day, do it every other day during EWCM.....But my ob told me to just do it every other day throughout the cycle, I don't like that doctor though. I talked to my dr because my husband and I are trying for our first baby. She said start at day 10 through 16 and at least have sex every other day. The thing about lowering sperm count is not an issue as long as your guys in normal range. If this does not work try from day 9 thourgh 17 and so on. Not everyone ovulates at the exact time every month. So basically the more you have sex the better your chances. Also sperm can live up to 3 days by Dr says so you definately want to have sex a little before you ovulate to have in "waiting". Good luck
Human males are designed to impregnate as many females as possible. Having sex everyday or even more than once a day will not reduce the chance or impregnating a women. (If it did teenage boys who masterbate more than 2x a day wouldn't be able to get their girlfriends pregnant, but they do.) Really even if you have about half the sperm in the ejaculate than you would if you hadn't ejaculated for days that is still about 10times more than you need. (Though it does take more than 1 sperm)
