What does it mean when after unprotected sex you have spotting?

What does it mean when..2 days after you have unprotected sex you start spotting? It's very light and random but this has never happened before so I'm just wondering what it could be? The earliest you can take a pregnancy test is 9-14 days after the time you had unprotected sex.
