Can having regular sex after not having it for a while extend your period?

I have been in a relationship for the last six years where we had sex once every few months. I hadn't had any since June of 2007. I am now in a different relationship where we've been having sex almost once a day. We started during my period and now my period won't seem to stop. Does anyone know if this is normal? Can having regular sex after not having it for a while extend your period? The question is: how long have you been bleeding?

The average period is listed to run between 5 and 7 days. There are women who have shorter and women who have longer.

Stress, hormones, and all that other good stuff can play havoc with your system and cause your period to be short, long, late, early, etc. I think sex can certainly factor in to that, from the actual physical aspects of it to the mental/emotional.

I'd say, if you're going on close to two weeks of bleeding with no end in sight, then call your doctor or go to a UC center and get checked out.Can having regular sex after not having it for a while extend your period? Is it possible for you to be having a miscarriage
