I thought there was a sight I could go to and type in my area and see where convicted sex offenders lived? I can't seem to find the right one. I have small children and was chased into the house by a man last night while getting my kids out of the car. The man did not appear to be homeless, I am worried he lives around here. The police searched the area and couldn't find him either. How do I find if there are convicted sex offenders in my area?You can generally find them through the Sheriff department's website or any local law enforcement site. I don't know where you live, but that is where the list is located in my area.

Check your state police web site. They should have a sex offender registry there available for the public to view. I'm not sure what state you're in; otherwise, I'd give you the web site as well.
