What is the connection between vampires and sex?The only true vampires are bats (which do not occur in the U.S.) They do bite their victims (usually animals) and lap up some of the blood that comes out of the wound. Any tales that humans change into bats or the reverse is just superstition and hype which has been promoted by movies and story books. The bats don't care what sex their food source is as long as it is warm blooded. I think the sex angle has been created by story writers who like to show the "weak female" being attacked or scared by the unknown monster.
