My husband and I are due with a baby on May 11, 2011. We do not know the gender yet so we have picked out a bunch of names that we liked but through the process of elimination, we got rid of some. We don't really have a naming style so all of the names we have left are very different from eachother. Rate/comment on them please and you could leave some suggestions too! The only names we don't like are made up names or extremely uncommon names. Thanks!
Traditional Names:
Girls: Lucy Brooke, Heidi Lynn, Maria Lynn
Boys: Anthony Scott, Jonah Mason
Trendy/Modern Names:
Girls: Violet Ann, Cassidy Brooke, Kiana Marie (Key-on-uh)
Boys: Harrison Paul, Trevor James, Blake Christopher
Unisex Names:
Girls: Peyton Rose, Harper Elizabeth
Boys: Payton James, Taylor James, Taylor Weston
Other:
Girls: Courtney Lynn, Daphne May, Eva Marie, Shelby Rose
Boys: Nolan Scott
BQ: We really love the name Jane for a little girl, but we can't find a middle name that sticks. Any suggestions?
Thanks! Best answer will be the person who answers all the parts most thoroughly.|||First of all, congratulations on your little baby! I hope he/she lives a long, healthy life, as do you and your husband.
Traditional Names
----------------------
鈥?Lucy Brooke醿?--
Personally, I feel the name Lucy is a very popular name which doesn't make the name all that good, but I do love Brooke as a middle name because I think it's very sweet.
鈥?Heidi Lynn醿?--
I adore this name! Wow, I've actually warmed up to the name Heidi , and I think Lynn is a super cute nickname too. This name flows really great together.
鈥?Maria Lynn醿?--
The name Maria is OKAY. I mean it's not great and it's not bad. Just average. Like I said before, I think Lynn is a great middle name.
鈥?Anthony Scott醿?--
Wow, another great name. I think this name clicks and is great together. I think both names are really nice and I am a fan of the name Scott.
鈥?Jonah Mason醿?--
I like both names, adore Mason as a first name or as a middle name, I don't think that they're all that good together. Different names would be fab matched up with these individual names.
Trendy/Mordern Names
----------------------------
鈥?Violet Ann醿?--
Okay, I dislike the name Violet for a start! I don't think it belongs on a person, maybe a hamster or something. Ann is OK as a middle name, very over used though.
鈥?Cassidy Brooke醿?--
I think the name Cassidy is very sweet and pretty. That is actually one of my favourite names, and like I said, I really like Brooke as a middle name and luckily, these names flow great together!
鈥?Kiana Marie醿?--
Kiana will probably be spelt wrong or said wrong so that'll be a big pain. Marie is my middle name so I'm a fan of that name. In terms of if it sounds good together, yes it does thats a great match.
鈥?Harrison Paul醿?--
I'm afraid I don't like either name. I also don't think they go great together.
鈥?Trevor James醿?--
I really like the name Trevor and it flows great with James. Great match actually, I really like it!
鈥?Blake Christopher醿?--
I'd personally, prefer it as Christopher Blake. When you said Blake Christopher it doesn't sound that good but I think it sounds better as Christopher Blake.
Unisex Names
------------------
鈥?Peyton Rose醿?--
I don't think a masculine name paired up with a feminine name like Rose is a good idea. I don't even like the name Peyton, if it belongs on anyone, it belongs on a boy.
鈥?Harper Elizabeth醿?--
I prefer the spelling Elisabeth, with an S not a Z. It looks alot nicer written with an S anyway. Haha. Harper is OK I guess. Nothing special. Maybe try Elisabeth Harper?
鈥?Payton James醿?--
I think this combo is really cute. I like the name Payton, on a boy, and it matches with James. Great name.
鈥?Taylor James醿?--
OK. Taylor belongs on a girl in my opinion. Like I said, feminine and masculine...really?
鈥?Taylor Weston醿?--
You know how I feel about the name Taylor on a boy, and I don't like the name Weston.
Other
------------
鈥?Courtney Lynn醿?--
The name Courtney is very over used and popular, and like I said previously, I think Lynn is a nice middle name.
鈥?Daphne May醿?--
GREAT COMBO. AHH I LOVE THIS NAME. THEY MATCH, BOTH NAMES ARE FABBBB. ENOUGH SAIDDDD.
鈥?Eva Marie醿?--
Eva is OK. Average? Marie... well I really like this name. Wonder why huh?
鈥?Shelby Rose醿?--
I'll admit, both names flow and sound good together but Rose is very popular.
鈥?Nolan Scott醿?--
I havn't heard the name Nolan before, and I think it's a really nice boys name. It also sounds great with Scott.

Girl - Cassidy Brooke, Eva Marie %26amp; Shelby Rose.
Boy - Anthony Scott.
BQ:
I always think, With a one syllable name, you should have 2 syllable name such as;
Jane Marie
Jane Louise
Jane Nicole
Jane Adelle
Jane Ellie
Jane Evie
Also, Middle names which have an 'ee' sound in them work best.
ie. Marie, Louise, Evie.
There are some exceptions however.
ie. Nicole, Adelle.
Also, you could have Jayne.|||Traditional Names: I like traditional names very much, especially the boys, so these will probably be my favourites!

- Jane Willow
Hope this helps, blessings to you, your husband and you new baby! :)|||I agree with you on the uncommon and made up names--they look silly to me and seem to be asking for trouble. When we were choosing a name for our daughter, we tried to picture her using the name on the first day of kindergarten, at her graduation, as a business woman, etc. I know that everyone has their own preferences when it comes to names, but here are the ones I like from your list:
Lucy Brooke - Lucy is a gorgeous name to me. Classic. Not sure about the combination with Brooke, but I can see it working.
Anthony Scott - masculine, nice flow.
Violet Ann - pretty, feminine. (On the other hand, Kiana seems TOO trendy.)
Harrison Paul - again, masculine. I can't see a Harrison Paul being made fun of on the playground, or not taken seriously at a board meeting.
Eva Marie is also pretty and feminine. I don't like Nolan--sounds kind of "dorky" (no offense intended, just my honest opinion).
Jane is beautiful...Jane Helen, Jane Marie, Jane Pauline, Jane Rosalind? You're right, it's hard to find a good middle name for that particular first name!|||From your choices, I LOVE: Lucy Brooke, Anthony Scott, Jonah Mason, Violet Ann, Harrison Paul, Trevor James, Blake Christopher, Payton James, Taylor James, Taylor Weston, Eva Marie, Nolan Scott, Jane
These are nice, but not my cup of tea: Heidi Lynn, Maria Lynn, Cassidy Brooke, Kiana Marie, Peyton Rose, Harper Elizabeth, Shelby Rose
And these I dislike: Courtney Lynn, Daphne May
If I could choose 2 for each gender from your list they would be-
Girl- Jane (blank) or Eva Marie
Boy- Harrison Paul or Payton James
If I could mix n' match my favorites would be-
Girl- Jane Violet, Lucy Rose %26amp; Eva Marie
Boy- Harrison James, Trevor James %26amp; Anthony Blake
Suggestions for middle names for Jane:
Jane Renee
Jane Eloise
Jane Felicity
Jane Ivy
Jane Lilia
Overall, very nice names! and i'd go with Jane Ivy (or Ivy Jane) %26amp; Payton James or Harrison James
