My boyfriend is a sex addict due to a childhood experience. He is not big on religion and going to therapy either. He is aware of his problem and has been faithful to me, but he does not know how to overcome the urges, thoughts or fantasies about always wanting to have sex with other people. This causes him to have drastic mood swings and allows him to not be happy in life. How does he overcome those thoughts and is it possible to do it without therapy?How does a sex addict overcome the urges?hehe you said 'overcome'.

Also, NEVER take any alcool unless you are with your partner, alcool just lowers your inhibitions and that is almost sure to cause a relapse.
