Do you think I should get Custody?

My name is Ryan. I have been told that I am the father to a little boy named Xayden on July 27th 2011. I have my doubts on if the kid is mine because the mom was sleeping around on me during our relationship. I have been down to see him. The mom lives in Ohio and I live in Michigan. The mom also stays between 2 house holds. In one house she is with her boyfriend who just got out of prison for 2 separate accounts. The first one started off as attempted manslaughter and the 2nd on being a crime where he set fire the $6000 worth of boyscout equipment. In the other household she lives with her uncle who had warrants for his arrest in Michigan for assault charges, her aunt who I know nothing about her 2 younger cousins, her grandma who allowed her to get raped as a child. Herself and now a newborn baby all in what I have been told is a 2 bedroom apartment. Everyone one at her uncles house smokes cigarettes except for you youngest cousin. I am not sure if she still smokes or not but I know she did.

I however live in a 2 bedroom apartment with just my current girlfriend and her mom. Yes all 3 of us smoke cigarettes but we keep it to one room; the bathroom with an air vent that sucks or blows the smoke a way not sure exactly what it does.

She dropped out of 2 different high schools and got fired from her job. while I on the other hand have my GED and have taken a couple collage classes. I also have a job where I make $8.25 an hour.

She does not want me to see the child at all or even let me have any rights to him but she is willing to take any amount of money I am willing to give up. I was wondering how I might be able to gain custody of my child if he is mine. Whether it be joint custody or full custody. If anyone would be able to help me I thank you.Do you think I should get Custody?
petition the court for custody stateing those facts (except you should start smoking outside only courts do not care if there is a vent you are still smoking inside) you can ask the court for a DNA test free of charge in CA if you go through the department of child support. find out if you are the daddy first and soon before you pay her another dime.Do you think I should get Custody?

First, I am suspicious of her- sounds like she's in it for the money. If he is yours, you have a right to visitation, or to shared custody, or even sole custody if she is unfit. If you are paying support, and have not been proven unfit, she cannot deny you visitation.

Get tested. See if he is your son, then decide what you want from the relationship.
