Baby Boy names in 2011, hottest trends?

Ok So my wife and I are trying to come up with a baby boy name for are son, Feb 2011. We have it down to a few names. One is Mason. Every web page i look at tells me something different. I don't want him to have a trendy name that every kid in town will have. Some say its trendy for 2011 and some say its not. From previous posts i have learned that yahoo answers moms seem to be the most help. I turn to you? Mason will it be a huge popular name in 2011 ?

After this post. I will post another post of different names to see what others like, such as Eamon, Mason, and Kingston. Check my page for the link %26amp; as always Thank you !Baby Boy names in 2011, hottest trends?
Judging by the baby names that I have come across on Y/A, Mason is a popular one and is quite frequently listed under the choice of baby boys due to appear soon.

So in answer to your question, its a popular trendy one for 2010 so pretty likely to continue to be for 2011.

I hope that helps.

It's on the rise. Yes.
Alright, from the information I gather, this is the low down on Mason:

In 2009, Mason was ranked #34 on the Popularity Charts. SSA won't be releasing their 2010 Stats until Mother's Day of 2011. In 2000, Mason ranked #64 and has been climbing the charts ever since. If it continues with the progress that it has been the last 10 years, in 2011, Mason will be around #29 (travelling 6.8 slots). That said, yes, I would say that Mason is a very common name. This name has been around for at least a century, but it is the most popular now than it ever has been.

As for predicting the future, I see Mason mentioned on here a lot still. It's still at the point where it's not quite overused but it definitely is a name that is heard often with babies being born in the last couple of years. I predict that it will continue to raise in popularity in the next couple of years.

If you want something different, I would say to go back to the drawing board. Mason isn't the name for your son.

Hope this helped a little.
