Announcing pregnancy during Christmas?

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and have refrained from telling anyone other than my hubby and two family members that I am pregnant due to a miscarriage last year and early complications with this pregnancy. Hubby and I have decided to tell his family and the rest of my family for Christmas and have been thinking of ideas of how to tell them. The idea that we have come up with for his parents is to get a card for "Grandma and Grandpa" and wrapping a pair of booties and socks and a few other small things with an ultrasound picture with a note saying something along the lines of "these items of clothing are reserved for (names we picked for baby girl and baby boy) due to arrive on or around June 15, 2011." Thoughts on this idea? Does anyone have any idea's they'd like to share that we can consider?



Also, any idea's of how to tell his sisters and other family members such a Aunt's and Uncles and Cousins? Some of them we will just tell but some of them we are very close to and would like to do something special for them as well.Announcing pregnancy during Christmas?
When my best friend got pregnant, we went to walmart and bought a bib that said "i love grandma" on it, and gave that to her mom. It was so cute and words weren't required, but she knew what it meant. There's bibs and outfits that also say "i love auntie" and stuff like that too, so finding something for a particular family member wouldn't be too hard. If you do that, you can wrap them all up and have everyone open their gift from you at the same time. Good luck and congratulations :)Announcing pregnancy during Christmas?
* if you are all gathering around at Christmas dinner or something, ask to pray and end it with "and may the Lord bless my wife in her pregnancy" or something like that. My cousin did that and we all started screaming!

**wrap up some easy baby gifts and label them for the grandparents :)

or just mention can you all put a date on the calender and give them your due date and when asked why tell them oh just due to give birth then



even a present for your parents being a xmas stocking when they open it tell them well we will need it for next year
i too are planing on telling my and my husbands family and our 3 and 6 year old sons that we will have another baby and i think we will do it on presents from k, m, a, d, and baby.
