We need help deciding on names for our second baby?

My husband and I are pregnant with our second baby. It is due on March 23, 2011. We don't know if it is a boy or girl but we want to get a list down. Here are names we are considering for a girl:

Jocelyn Faye

Josephine "Josie" Rose

Julia Grace

Jacqueline "Jackie" Margaret

Here are the names we are considering for a boy

Jesse Benjamin

Jesse Cooper

Joseph "Joey" Lewis

Josiah Samuel

Jacob Matthew

As you can probably tell, we like names that begin with J. Our last name is Dawson and we already have a beautiful 5 year old son named Jared Oliver, so we want a name that will go with our last name and his name.

We would like to know your opinions on these names and which ones are your favorites. Please explain why. This is only what we are considering, so if you have any suggestions/revisions, we are happy to hear them.

Thanks in advance.

Julia Grace or Joseph Lewis.
I think for a boy Joseph Lewis is really cute (Joey and Jared go together well also). and for a girl I think Jocelyn Rose would be really pretty.
From your selection i like the following :

GIRLS

Julia Grace

BOYS

Jacob Matthew

NOW HERE ARE MY SUGGESTIONS:

GIRLS

AmberMichelle Alyssa Dawson - sorry it's such a long name, but i think it's pretty :)

Makena Jane Dawson

Taylor Hollis Dawson

Justine Jessica Dawson

BOYS

Cody Emmet Dawson

Joel Aaron Dawson

Aaden John Dawson

HOPE YOU LIKE !

Noah Tate Dawson
I love Jacqueline Margaret for a girl. Such a strong, classic, timeless, ageless name. I also love how many nicknames Jacqueline can have (Jackie, Jax, Ellen, Kaylyn, Lin, etc).

For the boys, Jacob Matthew is the only one that really flows well.
Jocelyn Rose is my favorite, personally, called Josie. I love Jackie, but personally I find Jacqueline so hard to spell. Julia Margaret is also really cute. I dislike Grace as a middle name because it's so ubiquitous-- every other little girl is going to have that middle name, but I really like Julia, and I think Margaret sounds really good with it.

Josiah Samuel is my favorite of your boy names. I like that it's not popular, but still a really cute, solid, traditional name. I also like Jacob Matthew, but the name Jacob is so popular I would hesitate to use it. Jake is really cute though.
for the boy name, I just really like Jesse Cooper Dawson! I read it and instantly thought, "What a beautiful name!" It goes together so well. I also think it is important that names have meanings. Jesse can mean many different things. In Hebrew it means God Exists. Now for the girl names. Jocelyn Faye is so elegant. Josephine "Josie" would be really good because you don't know what their personality will be like. So if she is a tomboy, Josie will work nicely. And both names would work if she wasn't. But as for the middle name Rose, I have always kind of liked it but it is also somewhat old fashioned. I know a couple people with the middle name Rose and they do not like it in the least. BUT if it is there because you are naming after someone else (say a parent, grandparent, good friend, etc. that has/had that name) then go for it. :) Congrats!
It's quite coincidental that I was just watching 18 Kids in Counting, where all the children's names start with J.

I see you like pretty, more or less traditional names. I adore, for a girl, Josephine Rose and Julia Grace, both very simple but dainty at the same time. Jacqueline Margaret might do if you nickname her Jackie, which reminds of Jackie Kennedy/Onassis and of her charm and style. For a boy, Jacob Matthew seems the nicest, but only because I'm not a fan of Jesse, Joseph or Josiah.

Also, congratulations!
Whenever I see questions like this I always think about the Scripture in Psalm 139: You formed me before the world began and knit me in my mother's womb." Do you know that God already knows your baby's name, sex, weight and height and hair and eye color. I suggest you ask him what HE wants your baby called. He'll tell you the truth for sure. Remember John the Babtist's dad was struck dumb because he doubted that his son was to be called John and he couldn't speak until the people asked what the baby was to be named. He spoke 'John'. God names us and our names were written in his book even before the world existed. He has the nicest and most perfect name for your baby and you'll know what it is the moment you hear it. Congratulations.
I love these names, their so unique and different from the names that are used today. Too be honest with you, I'm not really a fan on any of the names you have chosen for a girl, but for a boy I love Josiah Samuel. Its different and I've never heard anybody with that name before.

Names I would happily advise to you, beginning with a "J" would be

Girl:

Jaycee Brooke

Jacinta Kate

Jadalie Clare

Boy:

Jayden Zachary

Jamaine Ryan

Jamese Paul -- (pronounced Jamie, just spelt differently.)

Hope I helped:] ox
